National Ijtema at Islamabad on 20, 21 and 22 June 2014

On the First Ijtema of MKA Hadhrat Musleh Maud (ra) said:

"The success of a nation is dependent on its youth. If the youth of a nation become true custodians of its traditions then that nation can survive for centuries upon centuries. However, if the generations of the future are negligent then a nation can never achieve success, and even the progress it makes can be transformed into failure."

Ijtema’at have a long and rich history in the Jama’at and are rooted in the traditions of Islam.  This month will see them being held at the local level in Qiadats across the country from Glasgow to Bournemouth and from Liverpool to Scunthorpe . Each of these blessed gatherings provides a unique opportunity for Khuddam and Atfal to come together in the true spirit of universal brotherhood and for the ultimate purpose of remembering Allah; they provide a platform for training and self-development and serve as an avenue to gain religious knowledge; they provide an occasion to renew old friendships and to rise to the Qur’anic injunction that we should ‘vie with one another in good works’ (Ch.2:V.149), whether that be on the sports field or from behind the lectern.

It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (saw) said when people gather together for the remembrance of Allah they are surrounded by angels and are covered by mercy from their Lord.  In light of this glad tiding, it would be sad if we, as a Majlis, deprive ourselves of the Divine bounty that such gatherings bring whether that be at a local, regional or national level.

Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya is holding local, regional Ijtemas throughout the month of December till March and Inshallah Atfal National Ijtema will be held this year on June 20,21,22. The purpose of the Ijtema is the Spiritual, Physical and Moral development of  Atal. Please keep this goal in mind while atending these events.
