On Friday 11th March 2016, Atfal Football League (AFL) Season V came to its end with a competitive and yet surprising outcome. 12 teams gathered at the site to play at the knock out stages, Masroor continuing its streak from AFL North some weeks ago where they beat Northern regions and took home the AFL North Cup. Sadr Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya joined the Atfal and watched the finals. For the first time ever AFL witnessed a derby match between Masroor A and Masroor B. A cutthroat game played between the two teams and no team took lead by half time. Early into the second half, Masroor B scored the first goal of the match giving them the upper hand. A penalty was also awarded to Masroor B securing their cup. Masroor A managed to score a goal in the second half too, however the final score stood at 2-1. After the games, the Atfal were taken to Baitul Futuh Mosque where a dinner was hosted by the AFL Team as well as a prize distribution ceremony. Individual prizes were also given out for Player of the Tournament, Top Goal Scorer and for Best Goalkeeper. The prizes were awarded to:

·         Player of the Tournament - Nabeel - South Region

·         Top Goal Scorer - Ragheeb - Masroor Region (Masroor A)

·         Best Goal Keeper - Nofil - Masroor Region (Masroor B)

The Atfal thoroughly enjoyed the AFL this year, just like every year. The best teams from AFL North and South will face each other in a Champions League Competition later this year.
